Our school also runs a health promotion programme. As part of this we decided to run a healthy eating week in January to promote healthy eating. One initiative we organised was a 'Fruit Break' each morning for all classes. A huge thank you to Iverk Produce, our local partner for providing us with lots of delicious fruit to facilitate this.

We also contacted another of our local partners, Flahavans, www.flahavans.com/, and they generously donated porridge for the children to taste and enjoy during our healthy eating week. Our Active school team were busy getting around to all classes distributing the delicious healthy treats.
There was huge excitement in our school when Kilkenny star TJ Reid came to talk to us about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and ways we can improve our Health and Fitness. TJ even took part in a crossbar challenge against some of our students and teachers. Go Raibh Míle TJ.
