Principal's Welcome – Príomhoide Sinéad Murphy
Welcome to Carrigeen NS!
At Carrigeen NS, we are committed to creating a happy, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We aim to make your child's experience here both enriching and rewarding.
Our mission is to prepare kind, caring, socially conscious, critically-thinking, and independent young citizens of the future. We achieve this by implementing the National Curriculum as outlined by the Department of Education, while staying true to Carrigeen NS's vision of being an inclusive school that strives for equality and excellence in education.
Inclusivity is the cornerstone of everything we do at Carrigeen NS. We value each child, parent, and family equally and view education as a partnership involving everyone – children, parents, staff, and the wider school community. Together, we nurture your child's academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. It is this collaborative approach, combined with our determination to help each child achieve their potential, that defines Carrigeen NS.
I joined Carrigeen NS in September 2021 and am passionate about my role. I am privileged to work alongside a dedicated and professional staff whose commitment contributes to the warmth and vibrancy of our school. We have a fantastic community, and I count myself very fortunate to be part of it.
Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to welcoming you to Carrigeen NS.
